Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
Tally ("Tally", "we", "us") is an app for guest lists, QR tickets, door check-in and live attendance counts at clubs and events. This policy explains what information Tally collects, how it's used, who can see it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Tally iOS app and tallyguestlist.com.
Information you give us
- Account details: your first and last name, email address and password. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple shares your name and an email address (which may be a private relay address). Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
- Optional profile details: a mobile number, your city and a profile photo, if you choose to add them.
- What you create: clubs, events, weekly nights, flyers and photos you upload, ticket types, prices, team invitations and the allowances you give promoters.
- Invite codes you enter when you join a team or claim a ticket.
Information created as you use Tally
- Tickets and invitations: who invited you, the event, the ticket type (for example "Girls GA" or "Guys Comp"), how many people a code admits, and its status.
- Check-ins: when a ticket was scanned or checked in at the door, by which staff member, and how many people came in on it.
- Door records: walk-in counts (girls and guys) and any door payments the door staff record. Tally records these amounts; it does not process payments.
- Notifications: a device token so we can send you notifications you've allowed, and your notification settings.
People you invite
When you invite someone, you can type their details or pick them from your contacts. Only the name, phone number or email of the people you pick are sent to Tally — we never upload your address book. If you add people to your saved contacts in Tally, they're kept so you can invite them again; you can remove them at any time.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only to scan QR tickets at the door; camera images aren't stored or uploaded. Photos are uploaded only when you choose one (a profile photo, club logo or event flyer).
How we use information
- To run Tally: create your account, show your tickets, let door staff check people in, keep guest lists and live counts, and send invitations and notifications.
- To give clubs and hosts reports about their own events: attendance, girls and guys (based on ticket types and door counts), door money and how each promoter is doing.
- To keep Tally secure and fair: one-time codes, protection against reused or screenshotted tickets, and preventing abuse.
- To provide support when you contact us.
We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Who can see your information
- The club or host of an event and their door staff can see your name, your ticket and whether you've checked in for their events.
- Promoters can see the guests they invited and whether they arrived.
- Team members (promoters, door staff, managers) are visible to the club or host they work with.
- Service providers who run Tally for us: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, hosted in the United States) and Apple (Sign in with Apple and push notifications). They process information only to provide these services.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of people using Tally.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, your name, contact details, photo and saved contacts are erased and you're removed from every team. Attendance records that belong to a club's or host's event (such as a check-in count) may remain without your name attached so their totals stay accurate.
Your choices
- Edit your profile at any time in the app (Profile → Edit profile).
- Turn notifications on or off in Profile → Notifications or in iOS Settings.
- Delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete account.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing tallyguestlist@gmail.com.
Age
Tally isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Many events on Tally are 18+ or 21+; venues are responsible for checking ID at the door.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections and protected by access rules so people only see what they're allowed to. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above. For significant changes we'll let you know in the app.
